Paper Mart received FSC® certification on June 12, 2007 and has been accessed and certified as meeting the requirements of Chain of Custody for paper products derived from well managed forests. Our FSC® # is SGS-COC-003366.
The Forest Stewardship Council™ is providing a framework for evaluating and verifying that forest harvesting operations responsible forests or well managed forests. They have requested that major corporations purchase products with FSC® and recycled fibers. Buying products with the FSC® label and recycled labels insures you are supporting the growth of responsible forest management.
Why is there Renewed Interest in Recycled Paper and Forest Harvesting?
The interest in recycled fiber is driven by the global desire for responsible forests. A future, which includes forests, wildlife and biodiversity, is desired for our children and our children’s children. Many corporations and organizations have made commitments have made commitments to understand and reduce their “ecological footprint”. Understanding the impact of their paper purchasing decisions helps them make wise choices to protect the environment.
By buying products with the FSC® LOGO you are supporting the growth of responsible forest management WORLDWIDE. The FSC® logo identifies products that contain wood from well managed forests, certified in accordance with the rules of the Forest Stewardship Council.

Paper Mart stocks a variety of FSC® verified and recycled papers for all applications used in offset and digital printing environments including folio and cut size sheets, rolls and blank and printed envelopes. Products are available for next day delivery throughout the Tri-State area on company owned and operated trucks. Products can also be purchased on the internet.

WHAT IS FSC®?
FSC® is an independent, non-governmental, not-for-profit organization established to promote the responsible management of the world’s forests.
Established in 1993 as a response to concerns over global deforestation, FSC® is widely regarded as one of the most important initiatives of the last decade to promote responsible forest management worldwide.

CHAIN OF CUSTODY CERTIFICATION
Chain of custody is the path taken by raw materials from the forest to the consumer, including all successive stages of processing, transformation, manufacturing, printing and distribution. From a customer perspective, the FSC® label represents a promise that is being made to them. Chain of custody standards are the mechanism FSC® has to ensure that ‘promise’ is delivered.
