matte coated paper is the brightest (and most affordable) in its class.
A matte-coated
two sided sheet, Knightkote Matte, is available in 70lb, 80lb and 100lb
text, as well as 65lb, 80lb and 100lb cover. Our paper features a blue-white
shade, 92 brightness, a mottle-free surface that enables excellent ink
density with solids and vibrant color printing and 30% post-consumer
content. Knightkote Matte Return card, available in 7pt and 9pt, is
guaranteed to meet the latest U.S. Postal Service regulations for direct
mail campaigns. Our newest Knightkote Matte product, Knightkote Matte
Creme, offers a softer shade for times when your design requires a subtle

to top] Are SMART Papers acid free?
Kromekote, Kromekote Litho, Knightkote, Benefit, and Carnival
are all acid free.
Are papers with finishes of archival quality?
Kromekote, Kromekote Litho, Knightkote, Benefit, and Carnival
all comply with ANSI standard Z39.48 and are of archival quality.
Are SMART Papers chlorine free?
The virgin fibers we use are elemental chlorine free, but secondary
fibers may not be. The process we use to manufacture finishes
is elemental chlorine free.
Are SMART Papers lignin free?
Our sheets contain no groundwood. However, trace amounts of lignin
may be present due to the secondary fibers (post-consumer content
fibers) used in manufacturing our recycled content grades.
Which way do embossed patterns run?
All patterns run with the grain except silk and hi-fi which are
perpendicular to (against) the grain. In the laid and waylaid
finishes, the chain lines (thicker lines) go with the grain and
the laid lines (thinner lines) go against the grain.
Does SMART Papers laminate/duplex?
We can laminate/duplex most of our products. Please contact your
